1. PARMONO ATMADI

Parmono Atmadi is professor of Architecture at the School of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. He was born in Purwokerto, Central Java in 1931. He graduated from Institut Teknologi Bandung (Bandung Institute of Technology) in 1959, Post Graduate Program at Columbia University, New York in 1960, and in 1979 he received his Ph.D. from Gadjah Mada University.

He became Lecturer at ITB since 1959, and in 1964, he moved to Gadjah Mada University as Senior Lecturer at the Department of Architecture, School of Engineering.

He further served as Head of the Department of Architecture from 1965 to 1969. was vice Dean of the School of Engineering from 1966 to 1969, and was Vice Rector for University Development at Gadjah Mada University from 1970 to 1974. He has been assigned as advisor or technical expert on various national committees concerned with higher education development. He was also a consultant of the Borobudur Temple Restoration Project between 1972 and 1980.

Since 1985. he is Director of the Second University Development Project (World Bank Loan Project) to establish and develop the Inter University Centers at five leading Indonesian Universities, He authored a number of papers on Architecture, Architectural Education and Higher Education Development.

His publications includs: Master Plan Rumah Sakit Prof. Dr. Sardjito Yogyakarta (Master Plan of Prof. Dr. Sardjito Hospital) (Editor) 1974; Arsitektur dan Pengembangannya di Indonesia (Architecture and its development in Indonesia); Gadjah Mada University, 1981; Buku Petunjuk Penyusunan Rencana Induk Universitas/Institut Negeri dan Swasta (Manual for the Preperation of Development of Masterplan for State and Private Universities) Dept.
